Albularyo is part of a series of illustrations on our Zine titled Elements. Albularyo, or the herbalists, are the medicine men of the ancient Philippines. They heal the sick by hilot and cure them of diseases through herbs and oils. They drive away spirits or bring down curses on enemies with barang. Their old names and traditions are lost in time, but remnants of their practices remain. Postcard 4in x 6in
